It’s hard to believe, but for over 30 years the INNOVATIVE team has had the privilege to execute and create ideas for our clients. Not all our ideas have been monstrously big, but they all have been treated that way. The way I see it, why not go big if the vision is clear? But it’s important to be open to constant improvement.
There is no mold to our work…just speed, a sense of urgency, accuracy, and know how. It also helps when decades of television experience can lead to the “who.” Who do we know?
Our hardworking team is always thinking outside the box.
So, the title of this blog has a double meaning.
- It infers one thing INNOVATIVE has never had—clock watchers. Our team takes the time, no matter the hour, day, or holiday. Our passion knows no time constraints (except deadlines).
- Why “America?” It happens to be associated with our idea to be the first to invite Good Morning America to the WNBA All-Star Game.
Remember the “who?” Well, in this case the president of INNO, Conrad Piccirillo, and I were early producers at ESPN, and had the remarkable opportunity to work alongside the great Robin Roberts.
When we found out the WNBA needed to make a switch and bring the All-Star game to Indy, the email went out to Robin directly to invite GMA. The seed was planted, and both ABC and Pacers Sports and Entertainment executives were open minded and excited about what could be accomplished.
Once those conversations progressed, the plan was brought to the WNBA, and we received the green light.

Good Morning America’s WNBA All-Star broadcast from Indy was a huge success for our city.
Robin put us in touch with her coordinating producer, Eboni Griffin… and the planning began. (Oh, by the way, Ms. Griffin just happened to grow up in Kokomo, IN, and she graduated from Indiana University. Small world.)
GMA brought 45 of the best people in television to our city. It’s the #1 rated morning show with 2.6 million regular daily viewers. The rough calculations on the earned media for Indianapolis is between $4.5 and $6.7 million, and that number does not include social media.
Their staff and crew could not have been more professional. I think it’s safe to say GMA loves our city and the way they were treated. It’s the way this community operates.

Our team is excited to keep dreaming big for our clients.
From Super Bowls, to 25 Royal Caribbean ship launches, to showcasing tomorrow’s leaders at the annual National FFA convention, we love it all. No matter the hour! I’m grateful to work alongside a team that isn’t afraid to color outside the lines sometimes. And I can’t wait to see where our next “big idea” will take us.
I know we focused on GMA here, but you can check out some of the other work we did associated with the WNBA All-Star Game here:
- Custom All-Star Animations for Gainbridge Fieldhouse and the Morris Bicentennial Sphere
- Community engagement video showcasing how sports teach girls to become leaders.
- National commercial for Lucas Oil Products that celebrates all of the women who keep our world running smooth.
- Sophisticated sizzle reel to help MELI celebrate their 5th Anniversary in style.
