For more than 15 years, INNOVATIVE has partnered with the Indiana Pacers to enhance the audience experience at Banker’s Life Fieldhouse by creating a memorable arena open each season.
Developing a captivating arena open is not as simple as producing a single high-energy video. An NBA arena open includes multiple video pieces that all fire simultaneously to turn the entire arena into a spark of energy – end zone screens, sideline screens, ribbon boards and more.
For the 2014 Pacers open, we took a new approach. The open we developed took the players out of the game and showcased their personalities. The open was a huge hit inside the arena and throughout the NBA.
INNOVATIVE is constantly brainstorming ways for the Pacers to better engage their audience. Some ideas we’ve executed include fan prompts and in-game interactive elements, utilizing social media hashtags and SMS voting. This solution was custom built for the Pacers to ensure it is unique to them.
Our collaboration with Pacers Sports & Entertainment grew when the WNBA Fever arrived in Indianapolis. INNOVATIVE takes the same approach to produce all of their in-arena videos and interactive elements.
