Improve Dance Website
After completing the naming and branding project for the Indiana Innovation Institute (IN3), we progressed into its website development. The communications lead from IN3 has extensive experience navigating WordPress, especially Divi from Elegant Themes. As a result, we decided to move forward with that system as the site's back-end structure.
As we do with all of our web projects, we ran through a simple four-step process to complete this job:
We worked with the IN3 team to identify the site's goals, structure and content plan.
We provided two initial candidate designs for the homepage and quickly narrowed them down to a preferred design. We then used the styles from that approved homepage design to develop all of the internal content pages.
The project's lead developer took all of the design files and built out the WordPress site. Because the Divi theme allows for greater flexibility and page saving options, we were able to create templates for easy site expansion.
After approval from the IN3 team, we completed final quality control testing and launched the site.
The entire project, from the beginning of the naming process to the launch of the website, was back-timed to allow for an end-of-April or beginning-of-May 2018 public launch.
Since the launch of the website, INNOVATIVE has continued to communicate with the IN3 team to ensure that both the site and the brand are working for the institute's needs. We are also in the process of launching a section on the site for a newly created IN3 expansion element. This opportunity came to us because of our long history working with other Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) initiatives.
